Troop Meeting Schedule

Adult Leaders Needed: The Calumet Council is currently looking for adult leaders for the 2010 Centennial National Scout Jamboree to be held July 26 to Aug 4, 2010 (does not include travel and tour dates) at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia.

• Applications for Scoutmaster, First Assistant Scoutmaster, and Second Assistant Scoutmaster are due by June 1, 2008.
• Applications for Third Assistant Scoutmaster are due by June 1, 2009.

Organization: The Calumet Council contingent will consist of three troops. Each troop consists of 36 Scouts and 4 Adult leaders. The basic qualifications for each troop leadership position are:

-Scoutmaster and First Assistant Scoutmaster: Have served as a Scoutmaster for at least one year during the three-year period prior to July 1, 2010; have completed basic Scoutmaster training; participate in a prejamboree training experience; file a personal health and medical record prior to the prejamboree training; participate in Jamboree Committee Meetings; be approved
by the local council. (Although not required, Wood Badge and/or Scoutmaster's Key is a
desirable qualification.) The Scoutmaster must be able to serve as a role model of physical fitness.

Fund Raising Information
 

-Second Assistant Scoutmaster: At least 21 years of age by July 1, 2010, and have served actively in an adult troop leadership position for at least one year during the three-year period
prior to July 1, 2010; participate in a prejamboree training experience; file a personal health and medical record prior to the prejamboree training; participate in Jamboree Committee Meetings; be approved by the local council. (Although not required, Wood Badge is a desirable qualification.)

 
 

-Third Assistant Scoutmaster: At least 18 years of age (but not have reached 21) by August 3, 2010; have served actively in a Scout troop leadership position; participate in a prejamboree training; be approved by the local council.
