Travel Plans Announced. The Jamboree Contingent will travel by Amtrak Train from Union Station in Chicago. We are leaving on July 22, 2010 at 5:45 PM on board Train 50 from Chicago to Washington D.C., arriving in DC at 5:55 PM on July 23rd. We will return on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 departing at 4:05 PM onboard Train 29 from Washington D.C. to Chicago, arriving at Chicago's Union Station at 8:40 AM on August 5th. Note: Further details on meeting locations, transportation to Union Station will be discussed at Parent Meetings, email and the News Letters.

1. YOUR SON'S BSA MEMBERSHIP ID.

2. CALUMET COUNCIL IS IDENTIFIED AS COUNCIL 152.

3. A CREDIT CARD TO PAY THE $10.00 NON REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE.

ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REGISTRATION YOU WILL RECEIVE A REGISTRATION NUMBER THAT YOU WILL NEED TO ACCESS THE APPLICATION FOR ANY UPDATES. KEEP YOUR NUMBER SAFE. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS SO THAT YOU RECEIVE ALL INFORMATION, UPDATES AND MEDICAL FORM FROM THE NATIONAL JAMBOREE STAFF.

Medical Form UPDATE: 10-18-09: Medical Forms have been Emailed to each participant by the National Jamboree Committee on or around August 1, 2009. The forms are bar coded with the participants name on the form. No other form will be accepted. If you do not have an email address you need to sign up for one. If you need help with that please contact the Calumet Council Jamboree Committee for advice.

If you have your spam filter in place and have not added jamboree.medical@scouting.org to your sender list, please correct this issue before you ask for another record.

Jamboree Medical forms are to be completed by January 21, 2010. Medical waivers must be received by January 21, 2010 as well. See the "Medical Requirements" link under "For Parents" for detailed information. Medicals forms need to be turned into the Calumet Council Service Center during normal business hours or a Troop Meeting.

Code of Conduct update: The code of conduct was passed out at the October Troop meeting. Forms should be signed by the Youth participant and parent and turned in to your Scoutmaster by January 21, 2010.

Personal Identification card. Each Scout is required to carry at least one form of Identification with them while traveling with the Jamboree Contingent. A drivers Licence is acceptable or a State ID Card.

 

 

Health and Fitness Requirements
All applicants will be required to submit a complete and detailed health history, meet immunization requirements, and undergo a thorough physical fitness examination between July 27, 2009 and May 1, 2010. Physical examinations will be by a licensed health-care professional and will be subject to review and evaluation by the jamboree subcamp, regional and national Medical Service. Not completing the fitness examination process by the May 2010 deadline may limit or even prohibit your jamboree participation, and you will be subject to being sent home at your expense. Participants are subject to a medical recheck upon arrival to verify provided information and current fitness. In the event a participant is found medically unfit at this time, he cannot serve and must return home at his own expense.
